Overview:
Bill Ritter, the 41st Governor of Colorado, is the first native-born governor the state has had in 35 years. Top priorities of his administration include increased reliance on renewable energy and protection of natural resources, improved transportation infrastructure, and educational reform and the P-20 Education Council.
Prior to holding elected office, he was Denver’s lead prosecutor for 12 years. He and his wife, Jeannie, ran a food distribution and nutrition center in Zambia, Africa for several years. They have four children.
