The SBS is the focal point to provide business counseling in support of securing contracts or other business relationships within the wing.

Schriever AFB is an active participant in the annual Colorado Springs Small Business Outreach Event “Gateway to Government Contracting.” This is hosted by The Chamber, Colorado Springs and 14 local government agencies. The 2008 Outreach will be held at the Antlers Hilton Hotel, April 22-24. The website and registration will open January 28 at www.online-storefront.com/sboutreach2008.

Also, the Schriever AFB Public Web site has a link to “Contracting” under the organizations section. The objective of the contracting site is to help business owners understand the acquisition process — simply, how to do business with the 50th SW and support our units in their need to purchase items and services. The Web site provides access to a broad variety of resources to help businesses understand the wing and the nuances of government acquisition.
